The short version: Lumina has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It never asks for your name, email, location, contacts, photos or health information. To keep your garden safe if you reinstall, the app backs up your game progress to a cloud database under an anonymous device identifier. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat keeping track of what you own. We never sell data.

Your garden is saved on your device: plants and islands, stardust and rest, polished stones, pastime progress, the energy level you picked on the opening screen, your Comfort settings (brightness, colours, sound, text size and so on), and which purchases you own. Deleting the app deletes this local copy.
So that your garden is not lost if you delete and reinstall the app, Lumina keeps a copy of the same game progress described above in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. The backup is stored under an identifier your phone gives to the app (the Android ID on Android, or the identifier for vendor on iOS). This identifier is specific to this app on your device. It is not your name, email address, phone number or advertising ID, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. The backup contains game data only.
Like any internet service, Google receives your device's IP address when the app connects in order to deliver the data. See Firebase's privacy and security information.
Lumina offers optional one-time purchases (rare plant varieties and island packs). There are no subscriptions. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms, and we never see your payment details. To recognise what you own and restore purchases, we use RevenueCat, which receives your purchase receipts and history, a randomly generated app user identifier, and basic technical details such as device type, operating system version and country. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and does not receive your name or email address from this app.
If you choose to share a picture of your polished stones, the image is made on your device and handed to your phone's share menu. It goes only where you send it.
The cloud backup is kept for as long as it is useful to restore your garden. To delete your Lumina data:
Data travelling between the app and Firebase or RevenueCat is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Lumina is designed for adults, particularly people living with chronic illness, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Lumina is a game designed to be comfortable to play on difficult days. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a treatment for any condition.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
